The Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES)

The SRES is a federal scheme the means eligible renewable energy systems can be entitled to small-scale technology certificates (STCs). These systems can include solar panels and inverters, solar heat pumps, and more.

STCs can reduce the upfront installation costs of these renewable energy systems. Just how much you could save will depend on a number of factors that will influence the STCs you will be able to claim. Please also note that STC value is variable and can change from week-to-week.

The Cheaper Home Batteries Program

This is a program being delivered through the SRES that offers STCs for new solar batteries, which can reduce their upfront installation costs by up to an estimated 30%.
